Cultivating brotherhood and unity in Christ amongst college men creates a ripple effect that impacts lives and communities in every corner of the earth. A fraternity designed to glorify God develops young men for a lifetime of Kingdom impact.
Because of these personal and generational impacts, we want as many college men as possible to have the opportunity to be shaped and formed by the gift of fraternity rooted in Christ.
While not an exhaustive list of the qualities of a good campus for BYX, there are two variables that are the most foundational. The first is that the campus has an active and engaged Greek culture. The second is that there is a pre-existing Christian community that is open to and excited about something like BYX. However, a conversation with us is ultimately the best way to evaluate your campus.
There is no set time allotment for starting a chapter. We want you to move at a pace that is manageable for you but also that keeps momentum building. We will work with you step by step and use our experience to keep you on track for a successful founding.
The Beta Upsilon Chi Director of Expansion will work closely with you from the first vision meeting until you become an initiated colony of BYX. We know that founding a fraternity is an exciting and occasionally overwhelming experience, so we provide all the resources, connections, and insights we can to give you the best chance for success. We are also excited to build a relationship with you and help you grow as a man and as a leader throughout the expansion process.
No. While we review any housing opportunities on a case-by-case basis, new BYX colonies are typically unhoused. We are confident that the bonds of brotherhood and unity in Christ can be forged with or without a physical house.
