His wife, Diana, played an integral part to the continuation of BYX through her countless efforts, prayers, and support for the organization. Diana & Wendel met through a ministry at the University of Texas and married on December 3rd of 1988.
Diana’s passions were caring for others through the avenues of nursing and education. She served as a labor and delivery nurse for several years. Her family was of utmost importance to her, and she believed that “no one is going to love your kids like you do.” This belief motivated her to personally homeschool her five daughters, which was her greatest joy.
Diana went to be with the Lord on August 19th of 2024, after battling cancer.
The Beta Upsilon Chi Foundation establishes the Diana & Wendel Weaver Educational Scholarship to award members of BYX with a passion for medicine and/or education to carry forth the passions of Diana Weaver.
