In 1985, a handful of Christian college men at The University of Texas, Austin, were looking for a fraternity experience that didn’t exist on campus — one where they could develop lifelong friendships in a fun, social environment but also explore and deepen their faith together. They created Beta Upsilon Chi to establish brotherhood and unity among college men based on the common bond of Jesus Christ. This founding purpose is the bedrock upon which our fraternity is founded and continues to fuel our mission and vision.
