Pray 1:33
Join BYX in praying intentionally over our brothers each and every day.
It’s our vision that everywhere, every day, BYX men are raising families, leading organizations and strengthening churches to impact our communities for Christ.
We can’t do any of that apart from prayer. That’s why we want to ask you to join us everywhere, every day in praying for your fraternity. It’s all based in our fraternity’s founding Scripture, Psalm 133.

The founding passage of our fraternity.
It’s inspiring, ancient, and odd. Our goal was to illustrate this psalm and its truth because it shows something very close to God’s own heart, something He really delights in – brotherhood and unity.
The founding purpose of Beta Upsilon Chi is to establish brotherhood and unity among college men based on the common bond of Jesus Christ. This image, commissioned by BYX from artist Stephen Procopio (Christianity Today, The Chosen TV series), pictures David’s song for a community of brothers on an adventure to worship God together.
The psalm cascades from a praise of unified brotherhood to the anointing God gives it – the kind reserved for the chief priest, Aaron. This anointing oil flows down covering – marking – the brothers with God’s blessing and purpose. The brotherhood then refreshes every region it touches, like dew across the desert. This is a picture of the men of Beta Upsilon Chi; the pleasure of God we feel in our founding purpose, and the effect we have across the country.
The images accumulate in the form of a sword, reminding us of God’s Word and of Proverbs 27 where the sage says that as iron sharpens iron so one man sharpens another. We are linked arm in arm, a reminder of Ecclesiastes 4:9-12.
The brothers are surrounded by prayer leaves, because they are men of prayer. They are encompassed by living water like the dew and the waters of baptism. They are flanked by honeycomb – one of the most resilient architectural designs in all of nature. Our brotherhood and unity delights God, it is anointed, life-giving, strong, and eternal in Jesus Christ.
We are Beta Upsilon Chi.
