February 2025 – The Iota Chapter at Baylor University participates in “Baylor All University Sing” each year. This competition is a huge Baylor tradition that boasts the largest collegiate broadway-style performance in the nation.
Each Greek organization performs a seven-minute singing and dancing feature, with around 20,000 total viewers across two weeks. Baylor BYX (along with their chapter sweethearts from AXO, Pi Phi, and Theta) participated in this competition.
This event was not only a chance for BYX to draw into the Greek community, but it was also an opportunity for the chapter’s men to draw more near to each other. Baylor BYX President, Jackson Balsavias, shared how this competition fuels the brotherhood to new heights:
“The Lord moved everyone in the fraternity way closer to each other through this experience. Having disciplined practice with the entire brotherhood for four to five days a week over 5 months left us more united than ever before.”
Not only did the brotherhood gain more unity among one another, they also gained an award for their signature performance, “Gone Fishin’”

This performance was awarded Baylor University’s People’s Choice Award for “Best Music Selection”. Through winning this award, Baylor BYX displayed how living faithfully with each other toward a goal resulted in leading the way of excellence among their Greek community.
Every year, BYX sees chapters across the nation win accolades of excellence in academics, competitions, homecoming, sports, and more.
So what is the secret? As Psalm 133 tells us, when brothers dwell together in unity, a stream of goodness always flows from it. This stream permeates the hearts of the brothers, the campuses, and the nation.
This is how BYX leads faithfully. This is how BYX leads courageously.
